BOROUGH CHARTER
AN ACT TO INCORPORATE Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same that the village of Baden in the Township of Economy in the County of Beaver and the farm lands immediately adjoining thereto included within the following boundaries to-wit beginning on the Ohio River at the Northern line of Harmony township thence northeast by said township line to the eastern boundary line of the first or river tracts thence along the eastern line of said tracts to line of lands of D. Ehrman thence by said Ehrman line southwest to the Ohio River and thence up said river to the place of beginning be and the same are hereby incorporated and erected into a borough to be styled "the borough of Baden." Section 2. The first election in said borough shall be held at the school house therein on the second Friday of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight between the hours of one and six in the afternoon by a judge and two inspectors to be elected by the qualified voters of said borough present at the opening of said election when the qualified voters of said borough shall elect one citizen of said borough for Burgess and five citizens to be a town council and other usual borough school and election officers and justices of the peace as provided by law who shall hold their respective offices until their successors are duly elected and qualified under the general laws of the Commonwealth relating thereto and the election of borough officers shall be held at the place aforesaid in the third Friday of March annually thereafter and said borough shall in all other respects be subject to all the restrictions and entitled to all the rights and privileges imposed and conferred by the general laws of the Commonwealth regulating boroughs.
