such as an additional water tank, opening of new streets, and through the grants of federal aid, additions to our sewer and water systems, the building of a stone retaining wall along the banks of Tevebaugh Run, the paving of brick gutters along some of the streets, and the remodeling and additions to our Council House. There is not time to give these in detail, as accepted by the Borough, but we will mention some of them. The Burkhart Plan, which was the first, was laid out in 1838; then followed the Dailey or Baden Villa, adjoining the Burkhart, on Schiller and Rotteck Streets; the Bryan, Gallagher, Murphy, Mellon and Holmes, the Moore, the Enos Hill, the Johnston, Dippold, Virginia Terrace, Baden Gardens, and a number of others.
